Eric Holder has made it clear that the U.S. Justice Department doesn’t need to get involved in the IRS scandal, but there are times when DOJ involvement is a must:

A parade float? Yep. The U.S. Justice Department is reportedly investigating the threat to the Republic that was recently posed by an Obama-mocking parade float:

The U.S. Department of Justice has sent a member of its Community Relations Service team to investigate a Nebraska parade float that criticized President Obama.

A Fourth of July parade float featured at the annual Independence Day parade in Norfolk sparked criticism when it depicted a zombie-like figure resembling Mr. Obama standing outside an outhouse, which was labeled the “Obama Presidential Library.”

Holder’s Justice Department might “look the other way” at lots of other things, but not this.

We’ve come to expect nothing less.
