Unaccompanied young people have been flooding across the border and crowding temporary shelters in the U.S. Is the reason this has been happening due to lax border security combined with an expectation the U.S. government might soon grant blanket amnesty to people in the country illegally?
According to Josh Earnest, who is replacing Jay Carney as White House press secretary, the blame is elsewhere:
Earnest: "deliberate misinformation campaign" by syndicates in Latin America leading children to believe if they arrive in US they can stay
— Jim Acosta (@Acosta) June 20, 2014
On surge of illegal immigrants to US, Earnest decries "deliberate misinformation" that they can remain in the US. "Simply not true."

"Misinformation campaign" by "criminal syndicates" is what @jearnest44 claims is contributing to this border crisis

A “misinformation campaign” by “syndicates”? Oh, ok Josh.

“Devoid of self-awareness,” and then some:
FACT: Through July, more than 430,000 young people have received deferred action—freeing them from the fear of deportation. #DREAMers

@chucktodd @jearnest44 calling his boss a criminal syndicate was a pretty gutsy move for only being on job a couple days.

Meanwhile, it would appear that the Obama administration plans to pay Central American countries to reintegrate those same young people who came to the U.S. illegally:
WH announces $10-million to help Central American govts reintegrate their citizens sent back from illegal entry in the US.

Unbelievable.
