At the start of the MTV Movie Awards show, host Conan O’Brien announced a certain method for alerting award winners delivering acceptance speeches they were running too long:

Apparently the MTV censors thought the word was fine to air, because it was used repeatedly throughout the show.

Many viewers weren’t aware it was allowable:

Some viewers were confused as to what MTV deemed as appropriate language vs. what they felt it necessary to bleep out:
