By many accounts, “job creation” and “Obamacare” are mutually exclusive, but that doesn’t matter to Nancy Pelosi or Debbie Wasserman Schultz:
If Republicans focused on jobs instead of useless repeal votes, today's job report would be even better. #GOPObstruction
— Debbie Wasserman Schultz (@DWStweets) August 2, 2013
Suffice to say, many disagree with Pelosi and Wasserman Schultz and called them out:
Shorter @DWStweets: If the House of Representatives just ceded all power to @BarackObama, all would be well! #Douche

@DWStweets Wasn't the '09 "stimulus" supposed to have solved UE by now? Democrat "jobs" bills are worse than useless.

Reid blocked GOP bills RT @DWStweets If Republicans focused on jobs instead of useless repeal votes, today's job report would be even better

Can someone please provide @DWStweets with the list of jobs creating bills passed by the House and blocked by Harry Reid? She's confused.

If Pelosi and Wasserman Schulz actually do care about finding real ways to help stimulate private sector job growth (pause for laughter), they would also support repealing the job-killing Affordable Care Act:
. @NancyPelosi Repealing #Obamacare is supposed to help avoid job loss.

Bingo.
James Pethokoukis has some information about the latest “jobs report” about which the Democrats are offering as evidence of an economic turnaround:
The labor force participation rate dipped back down again; also the unemployment/underemployment rate was 14%
— James Pethokoukis (@JimPethokoukis) August 2, 2013
If the labor force participation rate were the same today as it was when Barack Obama took office, the unemployment rate today would be 10.7 percent:
If labor force participation were back at July 2012 level, the unemployment rate would 7.8%; 10.7% at Jan. 2009 level
— James Pethokoukis (@JimPethokoukis) August 2, 2013
More “progress,” according the Pelosi:
Both the average workweek and average hourly earnings decreased last month
— James Pethokoukis (@JimPethokoukis) August 2, 2013
A ray of “Hope”:
there were fewer full time-workers in July than in May but more than June. So progress???
— James Pethokoukis (@JimPethokoukis) August 2, 2013
Pethokoukis continued:
the share of non-jailed, not-military Americans who have any job just dead in the water
— James Pethokoukis (@JimPethokoukis) August 2, 2013
Retail and restaurants, two low-paying sectors, accounted for more than half of all job growth – CEPR

This was jobs report Obama econ team predicted would show stimulus returning jobless rate to 5% http://t.co/Qyn3YeWfV5

The economy is stagnant at best, and if Obamacare is allowed to be fully implemented it will be like throwing an anvil to people who are drowning. Pelosi and Wasserman Schultz are dead wrong by saying that those focused on flushing Obamacare aren’t engaged in an effort to save or create jobs.
