George Zimmerman helps pull family from overturned vehicle; 'MSNBC Tonight' mockery springs into action

MSNBC and other media outlets might be really struggling to come up with an angle for this one, but fortunately many Twitter users are here to help.

George Zimmerman is often reported as being “in hiding,” but according to Florida authorities he made a recent public appearance:

From ABC News:

The crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route Route 46, police said. The crash site is less than a mile from where Zimmerman shot Martin.

By the time police arrived, two people – including Zimmerman – had already helped the family get out of the overturned car, the sheriff’s office said. No one was reported to be injured.

Zimmerman was not a witness to the crash and left after speaking with the deputy, police said.

By the time the story is reported tonight (or should we say if it’s reported), it might sound much different.

Tweeters took the opportunity to predict how the story might be reported on #MSNBCTonight:

Or maybe MSNBC will avoid the Zimmerman rescue story altogether and stick to the kind of hard-hitting investigative journalism that has become their wheelhouse in recent days:

That sounds more like it.
