Funk music legend Chuck Brown passed away at the age of 75 on Wednesday. His death comes just one week after being hospitalized with pneumonia for the past two months.

Brown was widely known as the “Godfather of Go-Go.” His biggest hit “Bustin’ Loose” was #1 on the MCA charts in 1070 and later sampled in the 2002 Nelly song, “Hot in Herre.”
