Washington star has surgery, could miss 12 weeks

Washington Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth has had wrist surgery today after suffering a clean break while trying to make a sliding catch against the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday. He will miss a minimum of 6-weeks, but could be out more than 12 weeks depending on how he recovers.
