To the shock of many, 26-year-old Norwegian Olympic swimmer Alexander Dale Oen passed away on Monday. According to reports, Dale Oen suffered cardiac arrest while taking a shower after a strenuous training session.

The Norwegian was considered a frontrunner for gold at the upcoming Olympics in London. He won the silver medal in the 100-meter breaststroke at the 2008 Olympics and he took gold in the distance at last year’s World Championships in Shanghai.
