15th seed Norfolk State shocked the world on Friday by upsetting No. 2 seed Missouri, 86-84, in the NCAA tournament’s west region.

On Friday evening, Norfolk State pulled off the biggest upset of the 2012 NCAA tournament — in the program’s first-ever appearance in the tournament. The 15th-seeded Spartans beat No. 2 seed Missouri 86-84 in the round of 64.
“They played hard,” Norfolk State coach Anthony Evans said on CBS after the game. “They did what we asked them to do. They came out with a victory.
