We were assured it was “incredibly racist” when Sen. David Perdue mispronounced Kamala Harris’ name at a Trump rally before the 2020 election. Never mind that her running mate, Joe Biden, couldn’t quite settle on a pronunciation himself, or that Justice Sonia Sotomayor mispronounced her name at her swearing-in ceremony. The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin’s still bitter about that Perdue incident, tweeting this recently:
Looking forward to how Rs will intentionally mispronounce Brown Jackson’s first name
— Jennifer 'I stand with Ukraine' Rubin 🇺🇦🇺🇦 (@JRubinBlogger) February 25, 2022
Her name is Ketanji Brown Jackson, and it was noted Republican Jen Psaki who misspelled her name as “Kentaji” when quote tweeting a tweet that had her name in huge letters in a graphic.
Now we have another Republican, the White House’s Natalie Montelongo, doing her best to capture RBG’s fashion sense but also misspelling Ketanji’s name.
Happy Kentanji Brown Jackson Day! pic.twitter.com/afgNPViuTi

KETANJI
K-E-T-A-N-J-I
HOW DIFFICULT IS THIS https://t.co/u9Q9ogNGJL

The White House is trying to "Notorious RBG" this woman already, yet they can't seem to spell her name right. pic.twitter.com/6NxjWR2JqL

It's Ketanji.

Of course it’s a white girl not taking the time to spell her name correctly
— Jon Cavalier (@Cavalier1Jon) February 26, 2022
Do you not realize you spelled the future Justice’s name wrong or do you not care?
— Go Vote 2024 (@GoVote2024) February 26, 2022
First step: get her name right.

Should prolly learn how to spell her name correctly

We’d be more impressed by the blatant self-promotion if you’d bothered to spell her name correctly.

Try honoring her by spelling her name correctly
— David Tkacz 🇹🇼 (@TkaczAdam) February 26, 2022
Yes, celebrate by posting a picture of yourself and misspelling the name of the person you're supposed to be honoring.
A+

You’re so excited you couldn’t take the time to spell her name correctly?
— Rorschach (@TheDutchPig) February 26, 2022
Her name is Ketanji Brown Jackson, you spelled it wrong and why did you post a selfie?
— Goat Fieri (@FieriGoat) February 26, 2022
There's a nominated SCOTUS justice who is celebrating her birthday today, so you decided to share a photo of yourself?

— TruNorth🗽🟡⚫️ (@ScottTrudell) February 26, 2022
Pretty sure you are honoring yourself more than her.
In fact, you are using her nomination to post yourself, while completely mispelling her name. But it doesnt matter, it was never about her
— Kazimir (@Zwibi37) February 26, 2022
You might have spelt her name wrong and pretty sure this isn't a picture of her either.
— Marc (@MarcBreslin1979) February 26, 2022
At least spell her name right. Jesus.
— Tired of Virus (@nightwing003) February 26, 2022
Helps if you spell her name right.
I mean, it would still be cringe, but at least it wouldn’t be disrespectful of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.
— “Slava Ukraini!” Will (@spudhawg) February 26, 2022
You spelled her first name wrong dimwit.
Its obvious you're a big fan.

😂😂😂 reminds me of the time @Alyssa_Milano dressed up as RBG, but screwed up her initials / name several times and eventually just gave up. https://t.co/xIm7P6e9zF

Her name is Ketanji, you racist white woman!
