If you’ve been on Twitter for the last month or so, and we know you have, you know that “OK Boomer” is now the standard dismissing reply that “Beto is a furry” used to be. Some baby boomers are taking that very personally, with at least one guy calling it the N-word of ageism and a lawyer warning people not to use it at work or risk violating the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.
Fight for 15, the organization advocating for a $15 minimum wage nationally, decided to get in on the act and suggest that getting a second job to make ends meet is “boomer advice.”

Sounds like good advice. I have two jobs (I used to have three), but then I don't demand that other people subsidize me. https://t.co/xrENjSppO1
— Kurt Schlichter (@KurtSchlichter) November 9, 2019
That's accurate. The world does NOT owe you a damn thing. Work for it or shut up about it. https://t.co/AyFRiUMb2U

OK boomer.
This, but unironically. https://t.co/jgBbSeLUdy

I'm not sure if they're mocking Boomers or agreeing with them here. https://t.co/ITHxtrug1p

Unless you’re satisfied with the $30K a $15/hr job will provide, yeah, get a second job.

Sounds like a solid plan. I've had two and three jobs at a time. Get over yourself. No one owes you a damn thing. https://t.co/DkazUl2Tyg

Then – ugh, this is HARD – actually work hard and keep learning skills so you can upgrade your income.

No that’s just real world advice, my dad and mom both had multiple jobs growing up and still do… that’s how you get ahead you work your ass off! You don’t demand something you don’t deserve and use government to steal it for you that’s immoral.

You guys don't know how economics works. Raising the minimum wage to 15$ an hour will raise the cost of living, which will also create inflation. People will still be impoverished. Also, minimum wage isn't meant to be a living wage.
— Zach Newell (@zachnewell101) November 9, 2019
Increasing everyones wages like that would cause a larger increase in the price of everything you purchase with that money. This is because employers have additional costs attached to all wages due to government policies.
