As Twitchy reported, it was just a couple of weeks ago that Speaker Nancy Pelosi sparked a Resistance meltdown by suggesting that Democrats forget about impeaching President Trump: “He’s just not worth it,” she told the Washington Post.

Now that the Mueller report has been released and dashed the hopes of those who hoped it would provide the proof needed to impeach the president, Pelosi is again telling her caucus to focus on their agenda and message, not Russia.

How radicalized has the Democratic Party become? We’ve already heard from a few Democrats in Congress who are holding on to the hope that there’s something in the Mueller report they haven’t seen yet that will result in a criminal indictment, and nothing will get Rep. Maxine Waters to stop talking about impeachment, ever.

To us, Pelosi seems to be making perfect sense. There’s an election coming up very quickly, and people like Beto O’Rourke need to know what it is they’re supposed to be pushing out on the road. But Pelosi didn’t make many friends with her call to focus on the Democratic agenda.

The Democrats can and should do both: keep pushing the Russian collusion narrative while sticking to their agenda.
