As Twitchy has reported, more than a dozen companies have pulled their advertising from “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” but Tucker Carlson (and every evening Fox News personality) will always have at least two viewers: CNN’s media guys, Oliver Darcy and Brian Stelter, whose job is apparently to watch the competition every night and tweet something disparaging.
Carlson already addressed the advertiser boycott of his show Monday night, telling his audience that “it won’t work” and “we are not intimidated.” But CNN’s Darcy seems to think that Carlson should lead off each show by promoting the boycott effort against him, tweeting this Tuesday night:
Tucker Carlson opening his program knocking an MSNBC segment from last night with Brian Williams and Malcom Nance. No comment thus far on the more than dozen advertisers that have fled his program.

You aren't actually expecting him to talk about Media Matters every night, are you?
— Peter J. Hasson (@peterjhasson) December 19, 2018
More than a dozen advertisers have fled his company, most since his program last night. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect he address it? (Particularly after Fox just put out that very forceful statement.)
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) December 19, 2018
He did last night? I honestly don't remember Don Lemon addressing his thing multiple nights in a row but I could be wrong
— Peter J. Hasson (@peterjhasson) December 19, 2018
Most of the advertisers dropped out since his program last night. I imagine that's why Fox released a brand new statement tonight.

Yes, coming out and publicly biting the hands that feed you after they were pressured by the saddest of mouth breathers to PR stunt for a few months would be a wonderful idea. If only Tucker had the impressive business acumen and foresight of a CNN contributor.

This happens every few months to Fox, they’ll come back. Fox’s numbers are simply too good, often higher than cnn and msnbc combined, these companies have no choice

In sports, when a losing team trash talks, the winning team simply says 'scoreboard.'
In this case, FNC would simply say to @CNN, 'ratings.'— select o speed (@selectospeed) December 19, 2018
Oliver still wondering why CNN is in the cellar as they begin another crusade to dunk on a far superior competitor. #EnemiesOfThePeople

Comment on CNN vs Fox ratings?
— John Mastrangelo (@JohnMastrangel8) December 19, 2018
Cnn can’t beat the hallmark channel in ratings ole @oliverdarcy doesn’t want to talk about that…..?????
— ProudAmerican?? (@knaggssevern) December 19, 2018
It’s true. CNN can’t even draw more viewers than “Dr. Pimple Popper” over on TLC.
There's dozens more waiting in line to take their ad space.
.@TuckerCarlson show is always in the highest 3 cable show ratings, and is often number one.— T-Covfefe (@MyPlace4U) December 19, 2018
he has the number 1 primetime show in cable…why does this matter?
— ML, MD (@super_mario_21) December 19, 2018
Maybe he’s not a slave to advertisers like CNN.
— Caleb Marsh (@CalebMarsh87) December 19, 2018
Basically you're just reporting this as a hit piece on your competitor not as actually news.
— MJJ (@jacktsnack) December 19, 2018
You guys are obsessed. About everything on Fox.
— livefreeordeb (@vivrelibre1776) December 19, 2018
Oh Oliver. What happened to you?
— Isaac Taylor (@taylorarabs) December 19, 2018
We ask that ourselves. Sadly, whatever’s in the water cooler over at CNN got to S.E. Cupp, too.
And the people are fleeing you and the media in droves. You are irrelevant and you are too scared to be genuine. The best part is that the youth coming on the heels of the millennials reject you more than anyone. #Karma #Karma #Karma

You'd think a journalist would be more careful about weaponizing advertising against journalists.
Then again, we all know power never gets out of control of the people wielding it in the moment…

Yep.
