Remember when CNN’s Jim Acosta started into a debate with President Trump in the White House briefing room to complain about his campaign ad showing illegal immigrants climbing the border fence?

“Your campaign had an ad showing migrants climbing over walls and so on, but they’re not going to be doing that,” Acosta told Trump, adding, “They’re hundreds of miles away, though. They’re hundreds and hundreds of miles away.”

That was mid-November, the caravan is here, and yes, they are “climing over walls and so on.”

“A perceived slow roll on U.S. asylum requests”? What did they expect when they arrived by the thousands? We know what they expected — to overwhelm the system and get rubber-stamped grants of asylum to speed things along.

Maybe the photographer should have told them that entering illegally is not going to help their asylum claim.
