The top liberal fear of Judge Brett Kavanaugh being confirmed to the Supreme Court is that he will work to overturn Roe v. Wade (and maybe even ban contraception — not), but a popular (and debunked) Democrat talking point against Kavanaugh is that he allegedly suggested that a president should not be subject to civil litigation or criminal investigation while in office.

Here’s 2020 hopeful Cory Booker completely misinterpreting what Kavanaugh said:

And Booker was at it again Wednesday, suggesting that Kavanaugh would rule the Mueller investigation unconstitutional.

The Senate Judiciary Committee chimed in to set Booker straight on an important distinction:

Got that? A special counsel isn’t the same thing as an independent counsel, but thanks for playing.

“Bound to spark questions” must be the liberal version of “Republicans pounce.”

Never mind the facts, though: Booker’s followers ate it up.
