Maybe it was the shooting of Republican Rep. Steve Scalise by an unhinged Bernie-Bro that made jokes about shooting legislators that much less funny, but actor and musician John Lurie seems upset that people didn’t get his joke about hunting Paul Ryan with an AR-15.
He’s also complaining about “insane” people taking screenshots of it, which seems odd, because why would he delete it? Maybe they just wanted to preserve such a great joke forever.

The insane people have screenshots of my last tweet and will report me.
17 kids died because of greed and I am somehow the problem.— John Lurie (@lurie_john) February 21, 2018
Then why did you delete it?
— Alexandra DeSanctis (@xan_desanctis) February 21, 2018
because I have a life and dont want to deal with insane people

To all the people who don't have jokes go over their head but have them hit them squarely in the forehead – the point was that AR-15s are not appropriate for hunting. I want no one dead.
Now report me – you little snowflakes— John Lurie (@lurie_john) February 22, 2018
Aw … who’s the little snowflake who deleted his funny joke?
Apparently you wanted your mentions dead. #RIP https://t.co/ru4J3hmVyM

Egregious, especially in light of Steve Scalise shooting.

Oh, my, look, another celebrity still mired in the 1980s, when people still believed the 2nd Amendment was only for "hunting". https://t.co/Nnh7hhEp72

Tell that to the man that tried to assassinate Steve Scalise. https://t.co/Ek4pujbHzl
