Remember those couple of days when half of Twitter was convinced nuclear war with North Korea was imminent over Trump’s “fire and fury” comment, while the other half was busy posting the same “Game of Thrones” GIF of a fire-breathing dragon attacking? Because, you know, North Korea would never threaten another country like that.

Now, of course, the same folks are worried that Trump is doing the same thing with Iran by refusing to certify Iran’s compliance with the 2015 nuclear accord. On state TV on Wednesday, Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told students in Tehran that Iran would “shred” the nuclear deal were the U.S. to pull out.

“I don’t want to waste my time on answering the rants and whoppers of the brute president,” Khamenei said, adding, “Everyone should know that once again America will receive a slap in its mouth and will be defeated by Iranians.”

Newsweek was especially taken by Khamenei’s reference to “Trump’s stupidity,” which he said should not distract Iran from America’s deceitfulness.
