People in Arlington, Texas, held a vigil Thursday evening to honor a manager at a popular sports bar who was shot and killed Wednesday, and whose assailant was killed by a patron with a licensed concealed handgun.

WFAA reports:

Lt. Christopher Cook said it all began when [James] Jones walked into the bar, yelling and saying incoherent things. [Cesar] Perez, a manager, tried to calm him down before Jones shot Perez.

Then, a customer at the bar pulled out his handgun and shot and killed Jones. Police have confirmed the customer had a CHL and charges won’t be filed against him.

Police confirmed that Jones was in possession of two firearms and two knives.

Looks like the man who took down Jones is in the clear legally.
