It might be too soon to even mention that there appears to have been an attack on a train station in Dusseldorf, Germany — even the mention of such incidents in Europe has been alleged to trigger rioting.

Fortunately, no one seems to have been killed in this attack, although five have been reported injured.

Believe it.

Is it wrong to hope investigators are able to learn at the very least the background of the suspects soon? Reporting on similar violent incidents, like those machete attacks on police in Belgium, or even that machete attack at a train station in Vancouver, tends to drop off quickly if journalists aren’t given all the details right away.

No rush or anything, but …

Update:

Police say that the attacker was mentally ill and had no terrorist motive, which is exactly what police said after another mass stabbing incident.
