It was no surprise whatsoever that Moms Demand jumped the gun Monday morning with its response to the attack at Ohio State University, accusing America of giving dangerous people guns and asking students to defend themselves.
Students at the school were fortunate that they didn’t have to defend themselves; an OSU officer armed with a gun quickly ended what could have been a killing spree by a man with a butcher knife.
Unless there was some high-profile shooting incident Monday that slipped by everyone but him, the timing of George Takei’s tweet about the NRA’s complicity with shootings seems odd, considering he tweeted it hours after it was confirmed at a press conference that there was no active shooter on the OSU campus.

Yeah, today probably wasn’t the best day to try to recruit followers in the fight to disarm Americans.
@GeorgeTakei Which shootings are you referring to? The shooting that killed the knife attacker at Ohio State University?

@GeorgeTakei REALLY bad timing, George. Terrorists will find any method & a good guy with a gun stopped the bad radical Muslim with a knife

@GeorgeTakei what does NRA have to do with stabbings? Or MSM bias and story telling? Cmon. Get some facts.

@GeorgeTakei You must mean the shooting where a police officer killed a man attempting mass murder. You want to stop that?

@GeorgeTakei the attack today was by a Muslim refugee Obama let in our country…and he used a car and kitchen knife…NOT a gun. #Fools

@GeorgeTakei do you like the freedom to be gay and married…or whine 24/7 about Trump? Americans with guns guard those freedoms. #USA
