Plenty of mainstream media outlets a few weeks back decided an amorphous fear of unspecified violence after the election rated as front-page news —they even took a poll — and CNN clearly laid the blame for any future unrest on Donald Trump.

The idea, of course, was that Trump would lose the election badly, and his supporters would take his cue and … do something. A day after Trump’s electoral victory, though, the theory still holds up: of course Trump is to blame for the protesters who are currently marching in the streets and shouting profanities.

Quote of the day?
Here, in Venezuela, we protest to demand democracy. In the US, Union Square, they protest to reject it. Boy, have times changed or what???
