There was a little rally for Hillary Clinton in Philadelphia Monday night, featuring Bill and Chelsea Clinton, President Obama and the first lady, and performers Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.
Michelle Obama delivered what many considered the best speech of the night, while the president was a little more subdued than usual, perhaps knowing this was the final rally for the two-term president who never quite figured out how to stop campaigning.
It was Hillary’s night, but President You Didn’t Build That paused to recount the accomplishments of his presidency and at last give some of the credit to his fans in the crowd — or was that to the Republicans in Congress — letting them know that, with him, they’d turned “Yes we can” into “Yes we did.”
Obama is being very nostalgic at this, his final political rally as president. "We turned 'Yes We Can' into 'Yes We Did.'"
