Fox 5 reports that Statham Police Officer Marc Lofton had clocked suspect Jessica Fox, 28, driving 15 MPH over the speed limit and pulled her over. Fox, who is wanted for probation violation and outstanding warrants for drug offenses, was reportedly acting strangely.
“I asked her to get out of the car because she was making me super nervous reaching all over the vehicle. I had her go to rear of vehicle, asked her what her name was, and she gave me a false name,” the officer told Mitchell after being released from the hospital.
After multiple warnings, Lofton deployed his Taser, but Fox made a successful getaway, running over Lofton’s legs in the process.
The incident was caught on the police cruiser’s dashboard camera.
