As Twitchy reported, Carly Fiorina tumbled off a stage in Indiana yesterday while introducing Ted Cruz and his family. Today, the media is reporting that Donald Trump ridiculed Cruz for not racing to help her up.

Strong contender for Trump line of the campaign: 'Even I Would Have Helped Her' https://t.co/slNdLKmGKY

At least the video clip that ABC News included in its tweet showed the incident as it played out. CNN, for whatever reason, chose instead to tweet an endlessly looping GIF of Fiornia’s fall.

@CNN Well, considering he isn't even looking that way I'm guessing he didn't see it.

@CNN This .gif is awful. Take it down and replace it with something longer than a second.
— LittleClitoris (@LittleClitoris) May 2, 2016
@CNN maybe show the entire clip….see second video from another angle. Cruz was not near Carly and Heidi did put her hand out. Hacks!

@CNN Misleading camera angle. Heidi was nearby, unlike Cruz. Heidi noticed & immediately confirmed Fiorina was okay, & Fiorina came back on.

Plenty of people agreed with Trump that Cruz did nothing to help his running mate, with some found Fiorina in perpetual free fall amusing.
@CNN too funny lol

@CNN Neither Mr. or Mrs. Cruz even acknowledged that she fell.
— Cindy Self (@Self_cindy) May 2, 2016
@CNN really compassionate and thoughtful. Ted is very tense and he cares about only himself.

@CNN Same at debate when Carson didn't hear his name called. Trump waited with Ben Carson while Cruz the opportunist blew by him.

@CNN Cruz Carly falls and you just carry on. Some gentlemen you are!
— Grace (@gracefulme3) May 2, 2016
@CNN Trump was right. Say what you want but Trump has good manners
— David E Y Sarna (@regainmylife) May 2, 2016
@CNN Indeed! Trump is known for his good behavior towards women! Just listen to that one ad of women saying things he's said. Presidential!

@CNN My husband, always a gentleman, would've helped her.
