While trying to keep track of all of the media coverage of the 2016 election, we almost forgot that today, March 9, is #Bam4Ham day, and first lady Michelle Obama is particularly excited.

The entire cast of the award winning musical “Hamilton,” based on the biography of Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, will stop by the White House today to test a pilot version of its educational program as well as perform a concert of “Hamiltunes” for the kids and the First Family.
@HamiltonMusical I can't wait! This is exactly what my social studies students need to get interested in our history.

As long as the musical celebrating the life of one of the nation’s founding fathers is being converted into an educational tool, maybe the Obamas can contribute by explaining why the government is so hell-bent on replacing the nation’s first Secretary of the Treasury on the ten-dollar bill with a woman.
Enjoy the show, POTUS and FLOTUS.
