Those who still believe that #BlueLivesMatter were heartbroken by one of the saddest end-of-watch stories we’ve heard in a while. Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Prince William County Officer Ashley Guindon, who was fatally shot on her first day on the job as a police officer.

Guindon was responding to a domestic violence call Saturday when she was killed, just hours into her first shift. She was 28.

Her funeral procession is being held tonight, and the route is lined with mourners as it passes the police station.

Ronald Hamilton is charged with Guindon’s death, as well as that of his wife, Crystal Hamilton.

Maurice Canady, former cornerback for the University of Virginia Cavaliers, is auctioning off some gear for Guindon’s memorial fund.

Police caution against donating to a GoFundMe page set up for Guidon, which they say is fake.
