The standoff between the FBI, Oregon State Police and militia members led by Ammon Bundy who had taken over the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon had come to a crashing halt last month after Bundy and several others were stopped at a traffic barricade and arrested and one militia member was shot and killed. Through his lawyer, Bundy urged any remaining protesters to “stand down and go home.”

Occupiers remain at the wildlife refuge, however, and Wanda Moore of KTVZ headed to the refuge today.
