The Minneapolis chapter of #BlackLivesMatter held a press conference this morning to call for the release of video of the police shooting of Jamar Clark, an assault suspect who was shot Sunday morning while allegedly interfering with emergency responders attempting to render aid to his victim. The word among those who claim to have witnessed the shooting allege that Clark was already handcuffed when police fired on him, “execution style.”

That shooting inspired #BlackLivesMatter activists to hold a march on I-94 Monday night, shutting down the busy highway and causing huge traffic jams in both directions.

The group encouraged its members not to talk to members of the media.

Police attempted to create a detour for stranded drivers.

Protesters wanted a formal investigation by the Justice Department, and Rep. Keith Ellison was more than happy to assist.
