WJLA reports Thursday night that Barvetta Singletary, a special assistant to the president and legislative liaison at the White House, resigned from her position yesterday.
Singletary, 37, leaves the White House under assault charges. Police say Singletary, following an argument with a U.S. Capitol Police officer after an alleged sexual encounter, grabbed the officer’s firearm from a bag and fired once in his direction.
