This seemed to be another flip of the coin for President Obama: Would the man who called to congratulate athletes Jason Collins and Michael Sam for coming out as gay and to console alleged “slut” Sandra Fluke for being called a name reach out to the family of Deputy Darren Goforth, killed in an execution-style shooting Friday night as he was pumping gas?
In this case, the answer was a surprising yes, with President Obama calling the widow of Goforth from Air Force One on his way to Alaska.
Obama did call the rioters who looted and burned Baltimore during the #FreddieGray “uprising” thugs, so who knows?
