Tom Winter of NBC News tweets that three different sources have claimed that attempts were made to wipe the hard drives of Hillary Clinton’s personal email server. The FBI, however, believes that it can retrieve at least some of the data.

In what may be a related development, a hearing with the State Department originally scheduled for September and moved up to this Thursday might be delayed again at the request of the Department of Justice. Perhaps the FBI and DOJ are finding more material that needs to be added to the agenda.

Winter says that more is coming from NBC News’ Richard Esposito and Pete Williams; just be patient.

Update: Esposito and Williams have published their report.
