Sometime between President Obama’s personal visit with inmates at a federal penitentiary this morning and tomorrow night’s scheduled no-press fundraiser in New York City, his day was interrupted by the systemic assassinations of four Marines. The president did offer a brief statement this evening calling the shootings “a heartbreaking circumstance.”
Just curious … What was Vice President Biden up to today, the day a naturalized citizen from Kuwait named Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez was shooting up two military facilities? He was inspiring the next generation of America’s leaders at the #MakeProgress National Summit to take on today’s big issues: same-sex marriage, free community college, and immigration reform, to name three. The summit was a presentation of Generation Progress, the kiddie ride version of John Podesta’s Center for American Progress.
Any other major issues of the day we left out? Oh yeah! Climate change! The greatest threat to America’s national security.
Hang on; today’s meeting is for the millennials.
We’re not sure, but he might have hinted he was in on the Iranian nuclear negotiations as well.
