Drake Bell is probably best known for “Drake & Josh,” the popular Nickelodeon comedy which ran from 2004–2007. He’s since pursued a career in music as a singer and guitarist, recently working with the Stray Cats’ Brian Setzer on a rockabilly record. So, which of these two career paths has Bell occupying the No. 2 spot on Twitter’s list of trending topics, right after Caitlyn Jenner?
Caitlyn Jenner’s Vanity Fair cover is nothing short of a phenomenon, with Jenner collecting 1 million Twitter followers in a hour less time than it took @POTUS, and even @BarackObama weighed in with a congratulatory tweet.
We’ve already had Democratic Rep. Steve Cohen offer his obligatory douchey take, but what has Bell done? You might want to avert your eyes.
Oh, man. Everyone knows that if Bruce Jenner chooses to be Caitlyn Jenner, you respect that choice by calling her Caitlyn.
Is there any way to dig himself out of this hole? Bell gave it a try.

Update: In the Vanity Fair interview, even Jenner herself admits to mixing up names now and then.
