There’s were plenty of fantastic speeches at Saturday night’s Lincoln Dinner in Des Moines, Iowa, but none that ran past 10 minutes. With 11 presidential hopefuls in attendance — Jeb Bush, Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, Lindsey Graham, Bobby Jindal, George Pataki, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Donald Trump and Scott Walker — it was up to timekeeper Tim Albrecht to make sure none of them ran long, and by all accounts he succeeded spectacularly.
He’s not kidding.
The biggest pushback seemed to be when Albrecht cut off Fiorina.
War on women! Even Donald Trump thought cutting off Fiorina mid-speech was harsh, reports CNN’s Sara Murray.
