President Obama is in New York City today, and one of the items on his agenda was to announce the launch the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, a continuation of the My Brother’s Keeper mentoring program. President Obama told his audience the program provides young men with the male role model he never had.
Though he grew up without a father, lost and adrift, Pres Obama says he got 2nd and 3rd chances that helped him succeed. "I was lucky."

One of those obstacles, he said, was the hopelessness the accompanies a lack of jobs in their communities.

Blame Bush? No way. The president isn’t interested in assigning blame, but getting results, and we all know what it means when the president promises results.
