@EliLake Astonishingly so.

Bloomberg View’s Eli Lake has been keeping an eye on the official Twitter feed of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and notes sarcastically that the Iranian regime “is so obviously moderating.” What gives him that idea? In particular, this tweet:
Saudis will suffer a loss & their noses will be rubbed in dirt over #Yemen. 4/9/2015https://t.co/4TPy0lho98 #REVIEW
— Khamenei.ir (@khamenei_ir) April 21, 2015
On a day when billionaire Donald Trump has decided to spend his own free time trolling “stupid guy” Jonah Goldberg, the Ayatollah’s tweet has David Frum suspecting that perhaps Khamenei and Trump have hired the same person to write their material.
@EliLake Isn’t it becoming obvious that @khamenei_ir and @realDonaldTrump use the same Twitter ghostwriter?

@davidfrum Khamenei to King Salman: You’re Fired! Hit the bricks, buddy.

@EliLake @BretBaier lol. That seams really moderate. @khamenei_ir better watch out, when Israelis and the Saudis get together.

@EliLake @BretBaier would be funny if not so scary. Doesn't the WH read twitter. They have an account, right?

@EliLake Diplomacy won't be a cakewalk, Eli.

@JAMyerson @Ali_Gharib @EliClifton Really good point. Khamenei is playing to his base. The supreme leader primaries are around the corner.
