It’s a big, big day for the history books.

In case you’d missed it, Thursday marked the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War. Red State’s Erick Erickson is thinking that such an anniversary should be a bigger deal, whereas most of the media oxygen this afternoon has been taken up by President Obama’s reliving of his choom gang days while touring Jamaica. While there, the president did lay a wreath at the National Heroes Park War Memorial.

Doesn’t the end of the Civil War merit some sort of similar observation?
