There’s really no connection between that tweet from “Raising Hope’s” Lucas Neff and this latest survey on evangelicals, other than they both demonstrate the casual hostility of which Christians can expect more and more as American culture “evolves” into something more “tolerant.”
New Research Shows Gay People Now More Favorably Viewed Than Evangelicals Throughout the US: http://t.co/Jrn2DU9v2g pic.twitter.com/rqlvcxjfgB

We wouldn’t be quite so concerned with the Southern Poverty Law Center’s enthusiasm for the latest poll results, except for the fact that Family Research Center shooter Floyd Lee Corkins admitted to using the SPLC website’s “hate map” to select the targets of his shooting spree.
The latest poll, completed last month, shows that gays have a 53 percent favorable rating among likely 2016 voters, while evangelicals earn only a 42 percent favorable view. As far as bias, keep in mind that the poll was commissioned by the gay rights group the Human Rights Campaign, conducted by Democrat polling firm Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research and entitled “Victory In Sight.”
Also in sight: more and more of that liberal tolerance we’ve become used to.
