It’s only March, and it’s proving to be quite a year for politics. After the GOP tsunami in November that swept a Republican majority into both the Senate and House, President Obama and the Democrats still seem to get whatever they want, such as a fully funded Department of Homeland Security with all resources for the president’s unconstitutional executive amnesty intact.
Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), for one, tweeted his thanks to House Speaker John Boehner for getting the DHS funding through the House.
I thank @SpeakerBoehner & my House colleagues for voting to give @DHSgov the funding certainty it needs and deserves pic.twitter.com/iVYBHUqorB

Having gotten his way, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid chose to set aside his delusional tweets about the Koch brothers and return to his other default theme: the joys of bipartisanship.
I'm glad the House joined the Senate in passing a bipartisan bill fully funding Homeland Security for the rest of the year.

I hope we all learn the right lessons from this unnecessary showdown. Common ground should be something we seek, not run away from.
— Senator Harry Reid (@SenatorReid) March 3, 2015
Have we all learned our lesson?
.@SenatorReid We sure did. 74 @HouseGOP along @Senate_GOPs now get added to @TheDemocrats needing to be voted out in 2016/18/20.

@SenatorReid The lesson I learned is that we have an inept negotiator handling the Iran Nukes mess…

@SenatorReid: OMG you freaking hypocrite. We haven't forgotten how you handled the senate, you putz you.#tgdn #tcot #pjnet
— Dorothy Grissom (@DorothyGrissom) March 3, 2015
@SenatorReid The lesson's quite obvious. Dems have made it clear that they'd rather support non-citizen amnesty than security for Americans

@SenatorReid Interesting position change from your term as majority leader. Maybe both sides should practice what they preach.

@SenatorReid #ACA was common ground?
How are you defending the constitution against enemies, foreign and domestic if you funding illegals?
— Victor (@iflysims70) March 3, 2015
