Things must be getting serious. Funding for the Department of Homeland Security runs out at midnight, and the department is preparing to post its shutdown plan.

One year, huh? The latest rumor from Capitol Hill is that the House is scrambling to put together a one-week continuing resolution to fund the DHS until next weekend. In the meantime, the DHS has posted its 47-page emergency plan, as promised.

It looks as though DHS employees will have a week to read through it.
