The remaining two Beastie Boys have been busy in court since the 2012 death of Adam “MCA” Yauch from cancer. Yauch stipulated in his will that in no instance could his image or music be used in advertising, and lawyers have been aggressive in keeping that promise.

We’re guessing it’s unlikely that Jeb Bush’s political action committee, #RightToRise, will see legal action before wisely giving up on its newest campaign on its own.

Yes, someone in the Bush campaign thought it would be a good idea to mash up the already lame #RightToRise slogan with the 1986 Beastie Boys hit, “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (to Party!).”

That’s not necessarily true; remember when presidential candidate John Kerry told MTV viewers he was “fascinated by rap and hip hop”? That was legit.

The #RightToRise campaign really needs to keep trying to shake the impression it has something to do with erectile dysfunction.
