We’re not surprised that Sen. Lindsey Graham would kick off the year by welcoming new, conservative firebrands to the Senate by breaking out the castration equipment; we just assumed it would be more of a back room ceremony and not so public.
Turns out these were just for show and were presented as a gift to Sen. Joni Ernst, whose campaign spots featuring her playing up her experience castrating hogs really caught the attention of voters. Speaking to voters on election night, a victorious Ernst told her supporters she was “heading to Washington, and we are going to make them squeal!” That would explain the “Make ’em squeal, Joni!” plaque.
So, just how tightly is that tool attached to the plaque?
Uh oh; wonder if Williams-Sonoma takes returns.
