We’ve all seen nighttime satellite photos of North Korea showing vast swaths of darkness across the countryside outside Pyongyang, but several news organizations are reporting that North Korea’s Internet on Monday has gone “completely dark” as well, with the United States denying having anything to do with the service interruption.

That’s right; the White House did mention something about a “proportional response” after the FBI determined that North Korea was the origin of the Sony hack. Perhaps this is one instance where jokes about a “strongly worded letter” were unfounded.
