In his 15-minute executive amnesty speech tonight, President Obama noted that one of the main pillars of his executive amnesty policy is “felons, not families.” Said the president, “we’re going to keep focusing enforcement resources on actual threats to our security. Felons, not families. Criminals, not children. Gang members, not a mother who’s working hard to provide for her kids.”

Of course, one of the promises of amnesty is to allow illegal immigrants to come out of hiding, out of the shadows. As Truth Revolt and Breitbart columnist Ben Shapiro noted, there will be plenty of illegal immigrants who choose the shadows.

Maybe this new understanding of the illegal immigrant experience will inspire felons to pack up and head home.

Any problems with the president’s policy? Honest concerns from those in law enforcement?
