Thomas Eric Duncan, the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S., died Wednesday morning in Dallas. Along with those tweeters who instantly chose to blame “shameful racism” for Duncan’s death were celebrities and media personalities who decided to weigh in for themselves.

Comedian D.L. Hughley wondered aloud if Thomas Duncan was initially denied treatment at the hospital because he was black or non-American. Geraldo Rivera mysteriously declared it a shame that Duncan was turned away from the hospital because he was too poor, black and uninsured.

Now, two days after Duncan’s death, Arsenio Hall is making it clear it’s not too soon to joke about it, even it the joke’s not funny.

Enough already. The man had Ebola.
