Many were infuriated that President Obama issued a statement on the death of Robin Williams just hours after news broke of the actor’s death, and yet stayed silent on the death of Missouri teen Michael Brown. It took a bit longer, but the president did release a statement on the passing of Michael Brown Tuesday afternoon.

@ZekeJMiller @Vivaciously_Val Sometimes I feel like he gets even more taciturn when the situation is "racial". Like he can't say too much.

@Vivaciously_Val I know he can't get real emotional. but to be so reserved, as if he's not supposed to mention it at all…it's stultifying

Anyone who is remotely satisfied with obama's statement is exactly part of the problem. He did NOTHING about it. #Ferguson
