Despite President Obama’s assurances that airstrikes in Iraq would be limited and the possibility of boots on the ground would not be considered, not all are convinced that things will run so smoothly. Democrat Senator Dick Durbin, for example, says he “still has concerns.”

Speaking at Lincoln Land Community College today, Durbin said he asked the president, “Do I have your solid assurance there are no American ground troops that are going to be committed to this, and he said yes, there’ll be no American ground troops, this is strictly an air mission. And I still have concerns about it.”
