Joni Ernst wins IA GOP Senate primary in campaign to succeed Harkin. Ran ads about cutting spending in DC, comparing it to hog castration.

Those hog castration ads must have struck a chord with voters, who on Tuesday handed a primary win to Joni Ernst. Candidates needed to win 35 percent of the vote to avoid the race going to a state convention.
Retweet & Send congratulations to @joniernst on her primary victory! #IASen

In #IASEN, the GOP got the candidate it wanted (for a change) & @joniernst has consensus support across party (also, for a change).

In #IAsen, Joni Ernst has been declared the winner. With 55%, she blew past that 35% mark needed to avoid a convention.
