Common Core didn’t have many backers at the Republican Leadership Conference Thursday. Gov. Bobby Jindal, a one-time supporter, was met with reportedly the most enthusiastic round of applause of the night when he declared that he now opposes Common Core.
“I am for standards. I am for our kids learning,” Jindal told the audience. “I am for our kids being able to compete, but it seems to me there is something fundamentally wrong with the bureaucrats in the federal government — especially [those] who think they know best and they don’t need to listen to parents.”

Didn’t Jindal support Common Core at one time?

Better late than never. #stopcommoncore MT @bccover Biggest cheer I've heard at #RLC2014 is when Jindal said he was against Common Core.

#RLC2014 strongest disavowal of Common Core I've heard from Jindal, who was a founding supporter. He didn't mention that part.

Jindal making case against Common Core, but not addressing fact he was for it before he was against it. #RLC2014

Adding to Jindal's problem's on he was for Common Core before he was against it is question if he is really against it now #rlc2014
