According to those behind the crowd-funding effort, “Sir Patrick Stewart said he doesn’t fit in in his neighborhood of Park Slope, Brooklyn, because he’s the only one without a stroller. We knew what we had to do.”
The Indiegogo campaign has so far taken in $184 out of a requested $1,360, but Stewart insists he’s not interested.
@SirPatStew You could get one and push your pets around in it. I've seen it done, good for a laugh.

@SirPatStew $1360? That's one heck of a stroller, sir. You might want to reconsider.

@SirPatStew It is great that everyone is so concerned about you and want you to feel welcome in your new neighborhood! Gotta love the fans!

The founders of the campaign note that “in the unlikely event that Sir Patrick and his wife decline our collective gift of a stroller, all proceeds will be donated to a Brooklyn non-profit organization that provides services for families in need.”
@SirPatStew Yes, it'd be great if you could connect with a single mom who needs a good stroller, and maybe deliver it full of groceries too!
